Another Hallmark reject*
*Inspired by actual family member comment after miscarriage #1.
With today marking my third +ve hpt this year...this one is perfect. Laughing away the bad thoughts...and that I'm a year older today too. Thanks again!
Nah. This family member just said to me when she heard about my miscarriage, "Well, Mo, practice makes perfect!" I added the egg graphic and sound effect.
Hi there, I am curious as to who the doctor was that offered all that testing. In my experience I had to twist their arm for all that! You can email me at waitinginsunshine@gmail.com if you don't want to say it outloud...
I also don't think you went too far in your Hallmark cards. In fact, if it's ok with you, I'd like to use one as my Facebook profile page!
I can see why Hallmark may have rejected this, but it's good to laugh at bad things sometimes. Hoping next time is perfect - there's an award waiting for you on my blog! xx
O.M.G. Seriously? Although I'm not shocked that people say these things. After my first miscarriage ( I was away on a trip with a friend when it happened), my brother in law came over to pick something up and said "How was your trip?" I said, "It was fucking special."
Perfect. Horrible. But, perfect.
ReplyDeleteOoooof. Funny. Horrible in so very many ways, but so damned funny anyway.
ReplyDeleteTotally off subject, are you going to be able to go to the class tonight?
Ooooof is right.

ReplyDeleteReally! Did it bother you?
ReplyDeleteOr should we say -- Oeuf!! (Sorry, I have to use that high school French somewhere.)
ReplyDeleteAs sad as it is, family members provide so much good fodder for things like this. Scary that they are the ones who are supposed to be rooting FOR us!
Gotta love family "support" don't we?! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at this earlier, I did not see that someone actually said that to you. Ugh.
ReplyDeletethat is a good one!
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Jesus, I can't believe someone said that to you. ((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))
ReplyDeleteoh so true. Terribly that someone said this to you. Sadly, not surprising. Keep these coming!
ReplyDeleteThat ones funny; I might actually think twice before slapping the person who gave it to me.
ReplyDeleteYou have a real knack for capturing the sad with the clever.
ReplyDeleteFunny, and yet very horrible.
If that makes sense,

O.M.G. On the family member, not the card. The card's brilliant. The family member? Not so much.
ReplyDeleteHeard this too many times after our miscarriages. Like it makes it any easier. Praying for you!
ReplyDeleteDid the family member actually say "Ooof"? Or did they make a broken egg comment? Do tell!
ReplyDeleteOh and, I have an award for you at my blog!
Noodle Girl,

I think you've gone too far.
ReplyDeleteanonymous,
ReplyDeletesorry if we offended you.
