Triggered

Went in for ultrasound and bloodwork and things are...well, exploding...really.

Left Ovary: 22, 20, 20, 18, 18, 17, 14...and some smaller
Right Ovary: 17, 17, 17, 13, 11, 9...and some smaller

A slightly nervous moment came when the nurse called with the bloodwork results this afternoon and said, "Your estrogen level is 4,600. You need to come into the center now and get a centrotide shot to stop your estrogen level from skyrocketing."

Um, yeah. So I went in and got the shot. What's one more, really? They said everything will be ok, but that my eggs are really raring to go.

Trigger shot was tonight at 10:45 PM for a Friday morning retrieval.

Here we go!

  1. Catching up here Mo. I'm so glad that the stimulation is going so well. Sending a lot of good thoughts your way that the retrieval is great and the microarray results are good for many of the embryos. C'mon universe, it is sooooooo much Mo's time.

  9. I'm honestly surprised they made you take the Cetrotide at that level...mine got to 6700 before they did that. You're doing a freeze all for CGH right? At any rate, congrats on a great count and hoping for tons of mature eggs!

  10. Wow! Very, very good! Here is hoping for a basket full of mature eggs that fertilize beautifully and contain at least one embryo that finds a 10 month home in your fluffy uterus.

    GOOD LUCK!

  20. Looking good! I think you must have a lot of good eggs in there raring to go. Hope retrieval goes smoothly, egg and sperm get it together, and you end up with a lot of embryos that ace the CGH testig. And of course that you get a sticky baby out of it all when you transfer one of the good ones!

  27. Crossing my fingers for you.

Don't let the doc talk politics when you are anesthetized. (Mine asked me who I am voting for - doesn't she know anesthesia is like truth serum? Good thing we were voting the same way!)
