On further consideration

It's definitely hot flashes.

Ever stand directly behind a city bus on black asphalt in the summer? That feeling is my new constant companion, albeit temporarily.

Extra love and thanks to Will for letting me chill our bedroom to the temperature of a meat locker. Picture me lying there with only a sheet on top of me and Will huddled, teeth chattering, under a down comforter. God, I love that man.

And, I'm sorry, Environment. I will make amends to you somehow when I have estrogen again.

  1. New reader here, nice to meet you!

SO sweet of him to freeze his bits off for you! THAT is true love. ;)

  2. LOL! Yeah, if you have to ask, it is not a hot flash. You KNOW when you have them. Hang in there, my mantra was "this is only temporary, this too shall pass". And know, I feel your pain!

And btw, your comment on my blog made me laugh - I have visions of Will at midnight, sneaking a big u/s machine out the linens delivery entrance of the hospital, with you driving the getaway car (or cab). Moxie playing faithful guard dog. Made me smile :)

  3. What a bummer! I only got a few hot flashes..cannot imagine them CONSTANTLY and in that NY heat. Time to start hitting the snow cone stands!

  4. Whew! I cannot imagine dealing with that in the heat of summer. You need to invest in a fan that you can hang around your neck and blow on your face when the dreaded flashes occur!

  6. Sadly, that is an *excellent* analogy with the bus exhaust. :(

Wishing you a quick TWO months!!

  7. I'm sorry the hot flashes have kicked in. Although I have to say, your description of Will huddling under the covers cracked me up! I hope the unpleasantness passes quickly.

  8. Sounds like you have one amazing man. Mine likes it warm but I draw the line at an 80 degree bedroom and bought an A/C. He'll be shivering and not say a thing about me wanting the room at 72.
Gotta love men who understand the little things. Oh and just to make you feel a wee bit better about the whether you are dealing with. It's been reaching 110+ degrees in Phoenix Arizona. (I live north of there)

  9. Reminds me of when I was on Cl.mid and had one of those flashes in the middle of a blizzard. I opened the windows in the bedroom and turned on the overhead fan. Hubby almost had to sleep in another room. He had all of the covers and I couldn't stand the sheet. If it's this bad at 33 I am NOT looking forward to menopause. Hope it cools down for you soon.

  15. I agree with Amanda...you don't usually go this long in between posts...and aren't you still waiting on the full anaylysis of the last set of embryos? Isn't that due any day now? I hope all is well and the lupron is not treating you too badly.
