Flying out today

We fly out later this afternoon so we can be in place and ready for the transfer tomorrow morning (gulp!).

Progesterone level drawn earlier this week came back at 17.81, a good level, so all systems go!

We are leaving Magpie here with her caregiver - it's the longest we've ever left her (the only other time we've ever left her was for the One Day Work Up as a matter of fact). Feeling major pangs to leave her for three nights : (. Hopefully she'll be fine. I felt like it would be psychological torture for her to be holed up in a hotel room with me, but with me on bed rest. So we decided to leave her here. Mommy heartstrings really pulling though. It was tough to kiss her goodbye this morning.

This week, I've cut out all caffeine and even decaf products. And just like with Magpie's FET, I've gone gluten-free (this one is hard for me) on the off chance it might make a difference. Don't know if it will help or not but it feels like I'm giving it my all. My mantra is regret management all the way.

Transfer is 11:15 tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Mo

  4. Best of luck to you! Skype or face time with Magpie (if doing that won't cause more harm than good) while you are away to ease the pain of her absence. You have given this your all so no matter what happens I hope you hold NO regrets. I have everything crossed for you! Lots of positive, sticky vibes coming your way!

    on leaving magpie,
yes, of course it is difficult,
but you both will be better for the experience...
separation is good sometimes. positive. enhancing.

  7. I totally get the regret management part of it ... it's so much easier to do it all (not ACTUALLY, physically easier, of course ...) then wonder "what if" over and over ...

Wishing you guys the best of luck. Please keep us posted as you're able and feeling up to it. Thinking of you.

  12. Mo - I've followed your blog for some time. I owe you a debt of thanks. I found CCRM because of your blog and it changed everything for me and my husband.

This is my first time posting because I'm kind of thrilled by the coincidence. Earlier today (Thurs) Dr. Schoolcraft transferred 2 CCS normal blasts into a kind, wonderful gestational carrier for us. Your story has inspired me and I share your experiences with my closest friends and family when trying to explain my own. I've had 6 IVFs and 3 miscarriages - the last one of a CCS normal boy. It looks like we have an alloimmunity problem and we opted to go the GC route.

While I hope and pray for my family to start, I will be adding you and your family to my thoughts and prayers.

Best of luck to you, and thank you for the help you've given us!!

    1. Oh! Sending you the very best of luck!! Will you keep us posted please? So nice to know someone else is going through this in parallel with us. I'm so glad you found the Denver clinic. I do believe that they are among the top in the country (if not the top) and give us all the best chance of having a child. I'm so sorry for all of your IVFs and losses. Sending so many positive thoughts that this transfer to a GC leads to the family you're hoping for.
