So, we took a deep breath and actually showed up for our ultrasound appointment this morning. I didn't mention we'd scheduled this one in case I chickened out again.
We were scared, shaking a little, actually.
It was easy to imagine a good or bad outcome. Good, because the numbers have been so promising, Bad, because, well, we've had a lot of practice with hearing bad news over the past five years.
Luckily, the news was good.
Oh, oh, so good.
It appears that we are actually pregnant.
The blob with the plus signs around it (in the top picture) is the embryo. The round ball on the top of the embryo is the yolk sac. Embryo is measuring 7 wks 1 day, with a heartbeat of 127 beats per minute, which we were able to listen to.
I don't think it's sunk in yet.
But this is decidedly excellent news.
I can't believe it!

ReplyDeleteHi..I have been following your blog for a short time but it really hit home with me... I had 6 losses prior to having my daughter (via IUI)... The losses were so unbelievably hard, not knowing if I would ever carry a child to term... I am so happy for your news and that sweet heartbeat you heard... I went on to have two more miscarriages before getting pregnant (via IVF) with triplets only to miscarry one of the triplets... I bled up until week 18..It was so hard thinking I might lose the twins at anytime... I am so pleased to say I had my boy/girl twin at 38 weeks 1 day! Don't give up!!! praying for continued growth of your baby and peace and comfort to you during your pregnancy!!!
