FET #3 10dp5dt Decided not to wait

Remember how I said I would wait until Tuesday to pee on a stick again?

Well, I caved this morning. I was thinking my symptoms were diminishing, and I'm alone today with Magpie (Will has to work and our playdate plan fell through), and I told myself if I tested negative I could go do something super fun with her today, forget the 10 lb. lifting restriction and just pick her up in my arms and have the best day possible running around the city doing fun toddler stuff. (This of course overlooks the fact that I would be devastated, so carrying out said plan would be tough, but ahem, I forgot that part).

So around 6:30AM, I tested.

And....

Not sure if you can tell so well from this picture, but the line today is definitely darker.

Is it twice as dark? I dunno. But it's darker. It definitely hasn't disappeared, as I was fearing. Hopefully this represents a beta of around 70...

We'll see what tomorrow's beta brings but it looks to me like this very fledgling pregnancy still has a chance.

Happy Labor Day everybody!

Mo

  1. That's way darker. Those tests take forever to darken.

  3. At first I was sad, because I saw the first test and couldn't make out the line, then I realized that was the first test. The second test is definitely darker - yay!!! Happy Labor Day!

  5. Definitely darker! I totally get how it's so easy to think things aren't progressing. That's how I've been feeling the last few days with no reassurance for a while! This early period is so hard!!!

  6. I like what I see, pregnant mama. Hoping the quantitative beta hcg will give you added reassurance tomorrow. So far, this is looking good. Please let it stay this way, universe.

  8. I just remembered to check up on you today, and I'm so excited to see this!! Praying for a very sticky baby!

I learned a great trick on babycenter. Put your wedding ring (or something else small) on top of your pee stick and it helps the camera focus on the result window. Because we like clear lines! :)

  11. I am so happy to see your pee stick! I lived in beta h*ll earlier this year (ended in a chemical, fresh IVF transfer) and spent about 36 hours on the internet. Just want to share the general take home I got from pubmed and stalking old "low, slow beta" threads. If you are at 100 for your beta on 12dpt of a 5 day, you are looking good of a THB. There are actually studies on this if you want to look them up. I think you are in great shape and look forward to continued updates!

  12. OH MY GOSH. I go away for the weekend and stop checking blogs and I just came back to all of your updates. You are on my heart today. No matter what - squeeze your precious Magpie extra today. My baby girl was my anchor through the IF and RPLs of trying for #2. I just kept hugging her and smelling her hair and rubbing her arms and legs and hands as proof that she existed. Can't wait for an update.

  20. Definitely a dark line and as dark as I'd expect 10dpFET. Can't wait for news!

(and I know I don't have to remind you that with HPTs, the darkness of the line doesn't correlate to the strength of HcG, only a beta will tell you that)
