Hang on for the ride...here we go again!

I had blood drawn this morning, which I was a little late for (arrived at 9:45 AM - I'm TIRED!) and the tech at first said that I wouldn't get results back until tomorrow. As I started to sweat bullets, she asked when I'd had the embryo transfer.

"Oh, no, we didn't do IVF." Based on the blank look on her face, I could tell this did not register for her.

"Huh? Well, when did you cycle?"

I said "No IVF" a couple more times, but finally, I leaned over to her and whispered, "I had sex to get pregnant. It's a miracle."

And she got all excited (she knows me from seeing me do cycle after cycle over the past two years). She smiled broadly and said they'd send the labs to the hospital stat so we could get the results back today. She said she'd be checking all day herself and was rooting for us. (awwww!)

Since the blood draw, I have been unable to focus on ANYTHING...which is bad, because, um, I have a dissertation to defend in a matter of days and I'm not ready!

Thankfully, a little bit ago, I found out that the results are in.

I still can't focus but somehow will have to...but I want to share with you all:

585!!!! So doubling every 1.22 days.

Will and I can't believe it!! This is the best doubling time we've ever had. We're sooo sooo excited!!! I'm having a good feeling about this! (the slight queasiness, intense thirst, and constant need to pee are also reassuring).

As for the other numbers: Estrogen is 301 and Progesterone is 36 (down from 39 two days ago). Does that drop matter? Or as long as it's high enough then all is good? Geesh...haven't heard from RE yet...I have secret sources to get my lab data early. And a little knowledge is a bad thing...

Anybody out there know??? I'll post an update when I hear from RE's office.

But for now...OVER THE MOON!!!!!!

Oh, and I finally canceled the Colorado appointment today. I had to talk myself down from the magical belief that doing so would doom this pregnancy. It won't, right?! So...anybody who's waiting to get in to Colorado should know that as of right now, Dr. Schl. has a surprise opening for a one-day work-up on Tuesday, July 7th. Have at it!

Mo

****Update****: RE's office called. Apparently progesterone fluctuates so it's absolutely FINE that it's a little lower. Whew!!

  5. My prog dropped from like 19 to 15 between my betas. It does fluctuate as your RE said. Even my lowish level was fine - or at least that's what the stinky diaper I smell tells me ;). Your doubling time is great, I have my fingers crossed for you guys!

  7. I have been dancing on the ceiling with this news of yours ... I have a friend IRL who went through 7 years of infertility, 5 failed IVFS, and 4 laps - she had NEVER been pregnant ... then 26 weeks ago ... she peed on a stick b/c her period was late ... and she was all knocked up. MIRACULOUS.

I feel the same way about you. And those numbers are AWESOME!

    Celebrating with you!
