So sorry to be silent for so long. I've been reading your blogs, cheering you on quietly, not commenting very much at all. I have had my head down and have been just slogging through the depot lupron...one foot in front of the other. I don't recommend it to anyone, but those days are behind us.
Hard to believe it, but we have actually started a calendar for our embryo transfer, which is currently scheduled for Oct. 8. My depot lupron days are finally over and I am on to birth control (ha!) and daily injectable lupron, which will be followed by vivelle patches. Oh, yes! Estrogen! How I have missed thee! Let me count the ways!
Also I will start twice weekly electro-acupuncture momentarily to try to increase blood flow to my uterus. As of now, all caffeine has been stopped.
The idea that we will be trekking back to Colorado - and for a transfer no less! - still seems vague and distant, although I realize (somewhat dimly, it appears) that in less than a month we will be back in Denver. Wow. Huh. When did that happen?!
Also, next week we will speak to Dr. Schl. about how many embryos and which ones to put back. We vote for as many as he'll agree to. Maybe two normals + a day 7? We'll see what he has to say.
Thanks for hanging in there with us...here's hoping the other side of the mountain is approaching.

Oct 8th, YES! You have worked so hard to get here. I am very excited for you and have all appendages crossed for super good luck!
ReplyDeleteI will have you in my thoughts, as I always do. Good luck this month!
ReplyDeleteHurrah for an end to Lupron! And estrogen - YES to estrogen! Seriously, I hope you know how hard I'm pulling for this to work out easily and painlessly and quickly
ReplyDeleteI was beginning to wonder if the DL got the better of you! Glad you are back, and even more happy you are back in the world of estrogen! Isn't it amazing how quickly you feel like your old self again? DL is evil, but hopefully worth it!
ReplyDeleteOct 8th! So soon! I'm very excited for your FET!
Oh, Mo! I'm so glad you posted an update. I knew something would be happening soon with your cycle and I just couldn't remember when everything was starting up. Wow, October 8! That is so soon. I'm so happy you are gearing up for your transfer. I'm so hoping this works for you, you deserve it 100%!
ReplyDeleteBeen checking on you, thanks for the update, FX!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news...I'm anticipating my upcoming CCRM CCS FET around that timeframe too. GOOD LUCK!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you back. I'm very excited for your upcoming FET! I hope the DR. agrees to the 3 embryos. I was 40 when we did our last IVF and we actually put in 4!!!! two looked great and two were okay...We got 1 baby...so I am all for more when you don't already have children at home...twins would be a blessing!

I am glad you are past the lupron days. I think I would take a lap any day over that stuff. I am rooting for you!!!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! I hope, hope, hope this is it!
ReplyDeleteYay for being done with lupron! I hope this works for you! Will you be keeping us updated more frequently in October??? I've been stalking your blog waiting for another post and it was killing me!
ReplyDeleteHooray! I've been waiting for this update. Oct 8 is, like, less than a month from now!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are finally getting to put in some embryos. It seems like it has been forever!! All my fingers and toes are crossed for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteHoping and wishing so so SO hard for you!
ReplyDeleteGlad to get the update, and what a relief to be done with the lupron! I am sort of shocked that you are actually transferring before I even get up the the plate (thank you, warped uterus)! Best of luck to you always, and hopefully I'm not too far behind....
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the lupron! I'm excited to hear how things go for you this round. I really, really, really, really hope this is the one!
ReplyDeleteso glad to hear from you! been thinking about you quite a bit.
ReplyDelete....i remember the electroaccupuncture thing well. the other thing that ended up helping me was some sort of blow torch that they used. seriously. :)
xoxo
So glad to read an update from you Mo, and I'm super excited about your upcoming transfer. It will be here before you know it! Keep us posted!
ReplyDeletei'm curious; is the live birth rate for each embryo transferred higher for embryos that have been confirmed by microarray? i know that many people who transfer 2 embryos in a typical IVF end up pregnant with 1 baby, but i'm wondering if those stats are different with the microarray confirmation of a genetically normal embryo? i am so excited for you!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear things are moving forward for you. Dr. Schl. had me do electro-acupuncture too and it was bizarre. It was actually quite relaxing, but I felt like I was buzzing for hours afterward. Hard to explain, but it was like I could feel my blood flowing and it always caused my face to flush.
ReplyDeleteAlright! One more month. Been thinking of you so much. This must have felt like the longest Summer ever for you. I can't even imagine the lupron hell combined with the horrid heat and humidity. But there's a crispness in the air, and you have estrogen in your near future, and a date with a catheter in Denver. :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear from you, glad all is OK and that you are moving forward.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean to be dense, but isn't the objective a healthy pregnancy and baby and aren't the embryos already frozen? Why wouldn't you put back just one knowing the others will be there if you need them (I know the answer to this question: Depot Lupron, etc., etc., etc. And you have been through so much ... but surely the higher risks associated with twin pregnancies are not something you need)?
Good to hear from you! Looking forward to hearing more!
ReplyDeleteHave been thinking of you - hopefully things go quickly until the 8th!
ReplyDeleteOctober eighth is a very auspicious day...my 41st birthday, haha! BEST wishes for a successful transfer!! (I'll be sending you positive and hopeful vibes from about 60 miles south of Denver...)
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that October was coming up awfully soon. Fingers crossed and the very best of wishes being sent your way.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back. I can only imagine what the DL is like. I am so hopeful for your FET.
ReplyDeleteA new post! My stalking has been rewarded! Loads of luck, Mo. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah! My repeated peeks have been rewarded---so glad to hear you have made it through the horrid summer o' lupron and WOW a scheduled transfer date...So very excited for you and everything crossed that Dr. S. will agree to your transfer plan :) Cheering you on from upstate....
ReplyDeletegood to hear from you! October 8 - I am so excited for you guys.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you and wondering how things were going. Thanks for the update! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for October 8.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're hangin' in there and have finally made it to the end of the lupron protocol! Hopefully the next stage will fly by!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're ok and nearing the end if the depot Lupron hell! I would put one embryo at a time back personally if I were having a frozen transfer, give each one the best possible shot at becoming a healthy full term baby, but I may not understand the ramifications of your ivf procedure as it was so advanced. There may be a reason you are considering putting more in. Best of luck to you whatever you decide to do.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for laying low. That is so great that you have your embryo transfer scheduled.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the very best!
