Now, having been through this a few times - er, cough, four times - before, I'm used to getting a sharps container that can be tucked away in the bathroom or kitchen and then easily transported to the clinic for disposal.
Well, when I opened the meds box this time, I was greeted by the following sharps container (shown here, next to my toaster, to give you a sense of scale):
It's GINORMOUS! I have no idea how we will truck this sucker in for disposal. And just how many cycles is my RE planning on me doing anyway?!
Mo
:) Maybe your RE is planning for a pg this time? You will have many more needles in that case! I hope that this is the cycle that works and sticks.
ReplyDeleteWow that is huge. Good Luck I am rooting for you!
ReplyDeleteEek! That thing is huge! :D I hope Nepsi is right and its to get you through 9 months!
ReplyDeleteIt can double as your moonshine container, or, better, leave it next to your kitchen garbage for compost. Somebody just wasn't thinking!
ReplyDeleteDitto nepsi
ReplyDeleteYep, that's a mighty big container you have there Mo! Hee hee. Hope it's cause you're in this for the long haul.
ReplyDeletedang!
ReplyDeletethat's almost as big as mine :) i had to steal mine from my clinic though....i could never just use that little thing that they try to give you ;)
ReplyDeleteyea for meds coming! wahoo!
that is seriously huge. I hope, as nepsi said, you need a bigger sharps cont becasue you'll have more shots to support a BFP
ReplyDeleteDANG! Living large!
ReplyDeleteMo, that sharps is ridiculous! way huge!
ReplyDeletelike nepsi said, let's hope you'll have all the extra needles from weeks and weeks of PIO to throw in there.
GL!
LMAO!!!!! I had a huge once, but this makes that look tiny!
ReplyDeleteThat is just not cool. IMHO they should make them attractive looking so you can keep them around the house inconspicuously...perhaps disguise them as decorative pottery. Anyway, I hope this cycle works so you never have to get one of those monsters again.
ReplyDeleteGInormous is an apt description! AND can I just say how much I love that word?? (We were given a chocolate egg at Easter that was described as "Ginormous Egg" because my sister knows how often I use the word!)
ReplyDeleteHoping that the GInormous container just indicates that you will have 12 or so additional weeks of shots because you are preggo this time!!!
I love your giant sharps container! Wish mine were that big - DH has been piling needles all around the tiny one we were given. Have no idea what to do with all our needles now - clinic doesn't want them. Perhaps I can make mobiles and sell them on the IF etsy site?
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best of luck on this cycle - when do you start? Maybe we'll be together.
good lord. that is daunting. but I am with the others- you'll have plenty of room for the 10 weeks of PIO shot needles! Good luck Mo- Kate
ReplyDeletewow. that is right - more room for all of the PIO needles!
ReplyDeleteWe have that exact toaster!
