Heading in now for the induction. I feel scared. I feel excited. I feel humbled.
For now,
"I dream of the one yet to be born. The one still curled in my womb. The one who will open like a star." -Carole Maso, The Art Lover
(thanks to Gwinne for introducing this quote to me)
But soon,
maybe tomorrow? Maybe the next day?
She will be here.
She will be born.
I can hardly even dare to imagine it.

I think of you everyday. This has been such a hard journey for so many of us, yourself included. 14 months ago today I walked in St Luke's Roos. hospital to meet my son.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing feeling it is.
Praying for a easy safe delivery.
All the best.
Karen
It's been a long and bumpy road. I wish you all the joy in the world. :)

ReplyDeleteMy bets are on early tomorrow morning :)
so excited and thrilled for you... Goosebumps... You deserve so much happiness. Can't wait to hear your story... xo
ReplyDeleteOn pins and needles! How am I ever going to get any work done until I hear that Magpie's here and both of you are safe and sound? Someone I work with told me that his three children were all induced, and born 4-6 hours after the induction was started. Hoping so hard that this is a smooth and easy experience. So glad for your fabulous OB.
ReplyDeleteMuch love from our family! Sunshine is excited about Magpie's arrival, too. xoxo
Thinking of you today! Don't worry if it doesn't happen quickly. I was induced with Cervadil and Pitocen at 41.5w and absolutely nothing happened at all (not even 1cm). For a full 48 hours. Baby is still here and healthy, so if it goes slowly, that's okay. (Also, I flat out ignored the rule about not eating. Just a thought!)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for an update!!

ReplyDeleteWow, you are on the precipice of becoming parents, you and Will, after your long, hard, and valiant struggle. I can only imagine the emotion swirling as you contemplate holding your daughter for the first time, looking into her sweet face, and knowing that everything, all the heartache, pain, disappointment and uncertainty, led to and prepared you for this moment.
ReplyDeleteHolding you in light and love.
Oh Mo, I am unbelievably happy for you!! You made it!
ReplyDeleteI will pass a piece of advice someone gave me and I appreciated so much:
Be present every moment, every second, it is difficult to savor everything that is happening but try, it goes by so quickly.... this moment, the most important and humbling moment in your life, so just breathe and smile! Even through the pain.
Sending you all the good energy and a safe delivery.

ReplyDeleteI hope everything is going/has gone well today! So very excited that this day is finally here for you guys!
ReplyDeleteFinn (my 17 month old) and I said a prayer for you three this morning. He scrunched his eyes closed while I said our little prayer, and when I said amen he said, "Yeah, yeah!" and then started clapping - "yaaay!"
ReplyDeleteBest prayer ever.
So happy for you! Prayers for happy healthy delivery and happy healthy baby. <3
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, waiting with you, and sending so many loving thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteAs the day is drawing to a close and there's no update on your blog, I find myself praying that it's because you and Will are so wrapped up in new-parenthood that neither of you has thought about the blog in hours. No matter how today has gone, I hope you can feel the collective wishes of all of us for the happiest of deliveries. Congratulations to you both, and I can't wait to hear how wonderful Magpie is in your arms.
ReplyDeleteA quick note to let you know we're thinking of you. Please update when you can with the news that you and baby are doing 100% beautifully.

ReplyDeleteyay can't wait to hear your news!!
ReplyDeleteStill out here, still thinking of you all.
ReplyDeleteWaiting with baited breath!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you guys. It is so awesome today to know that one of the very first people whose blog I started following early in my own journey is finally going to experience the joys of being a parent. Much love from the Great White North!!
ReplyDeleteHave never commented Mo, and have never suffered your arduous journey either. But I am a fellow parent, as you surely will be soon or potentially are now as well. Really, you were a parent multiple times over and again in the past, as I am a firm believer parenthood starts at the VERY beginning, no matter what the travels are like.Your stories and journey has meant so much to me. You touch many people, even those you may not think really can relate. Wishing you and your husband nothing but the best in this new part of your journey as teeny tiny adult shapers, (as I like to think of it!)
ReplyDeleteLove and the best wishes ever, microbiologist, physician assistant, and mamma to two young boys-Katie
wishing you all well! hoping little miss has made her big debut by now!
ReplyDeleteenjoy these first days of awe and wonder, sleep deprivation, and blissed out exhaustion. and don't worry, you won't break her.
Sending you the best of wishes! Blessings to your whole family.
ReplyDeleteHoping everything went well. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope things are going smoothly today and baby girl is either in your arms or almost there. <3
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear the good news! Keeping all of you in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteWent to sleep thinking of you, woke up thinking of you. Still, um, thinking of you! We all send our best thoughts and can't wait to hear how things are going.
ReplyDeleteWho else checked as soon as they woke up this morning? Show of hands. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, Mo. xo
Me too, hoping you are holding your sweet magpie in your arms.
ReplyDeletethinking of you all!
ReplyDeletei wish there was an update, lol!
magpie could be here!
Thinking of you both!! Praying all goes well and that you adjust well to the new changes in your lives. xoxo
ReplyDeleteDora, my hands are up...waiting...checking...praying for all the best!
ReplyDeleteHitting 'refresh' hourly... Hoping all is well and that Magpie is either on her way or safely in your arms!!
ReplyDeleteHoping everything has gone well and that you have a wonderful bundle of joy in your arms (or will very soon)!! We are all stalking you! :-)
ReplyDeleteDora- I did
ReplyDeleteI checked first thing and am hitting refresh hourly, too! Mo and Will: still thinking of you and hoping that she's here and you're cuddling and enjoying the first few hours of Magpie's beautiful new life. Or, if induction is still in process, I hope that you'll be snuggling soon....
ReplyDeleteI saw on Facebook that you had a little boy, congratulations! Love the name, too!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, Anonymous @11:15, the most monitored baby in NYC is not a boy. This kid's been looked at so many times, there's no chance that ALL those u/s techs and docs got it wrong.
ReplyDeleteA BOY? Are you SURE?
ReplyDeleteYes! A beautiful blonde haired little boy named Jackson :) Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWishing you many good wishes. Looking forward to hearing all about the family member.
ReplyDeletewow! can't wait for mo and will to share their news...
ReplyDeleteit is their news to share...
So excited for all three of you--can't wait to hear your news!
ReplyDeletePlease an update
ReplyDeleteI'm reeling...a blonde BOY?! Not sure I'm convinced...
ReplyDeleteAs long as everyone is healthy though...then all is well! Anxious for an update.
XO
Hoping and praying for wonderful things-- knowing that you are surrounded by love and good thoughts. Refreshing often and thinking good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for silly reading, Operating Instructions made me laugh til I cried.
Lifting you up in love and light, and a big shout out to Dora for the awesome 'shower'.
Oh! The suspense! Can't wait to hear about Magpie's birth. Been thinking about you these last two days!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you three, three! Can't wait to hear an update. Welcome Magpie :)
ReplyDelete@ Dora- unless she knew all along that it was a boy and wanted it to be a surprise/secret?
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to hear, either way!
refresh....refresh....refresh...
ReplyDeleteSusan, I KNOW! I can't believe we haven't crashed Blogger's servers.
ReplyDeleteMo! Will! Update, please!
But if she updated her baby on FB I think she'd update her baby news here no?! She knows we're all sitting here eagerly awaiting good news. And getting worried when time passes because most of us are the paranoid sort and all. [ahem, me, I guess?]
ReplyDeleteUpdate please!
ReplyDeleteStill hitting "refresh" here, and hoping the three of you are snuggled up basking in the wonder of your newborn.
ReplyDeleteI kind of hope Anon 12:54 is wrong, not because a boy would be anything but a wonderful surprise, but because after all it has taken to reach this point, I hope Mo and Will get to make their announcement their way.
Waiting with a hopeful heart for your good news of Magpie's arrival! Love and hugs from another fan!
ReplyDeleteAll this waiting is killing me! :-) I SO can't wait to hear the big announcement of Magpie's arrival!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your update! Xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI hope you are lost in wonderful newborn land right now cuddling your perfect little Magpie. Can't wait to hear your update and see a picture (I hope!)
ReplyDeleteWe're all excited to hear the announcement and story, but we can wait as long as you want us to! Certainly you've waited MUCH longer! -Carrie
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carrie......we are all very excited to hear your news.....but we understand it may be a while....this is your time to recover and to enjoy your precious miracle! Hope everyone is doing great!
ReplyDeleteAlso from Australia and eagerly awaiting news. Hope it all went well and that you have your precious baby safely with you :).
ReplyDeleterefresh...
ReplyDeletethinking of you all!
ReplyDeleteoh come on, lol!
ReplyDeleteeagerly waiting for some news... we all care so much,
gotta know things are OK...
The anonymous person who claimed to have seen the announcement of a boy has got to be baiting you (us) all. I do agree, however, that this wait is causing a bit of anxiety, and I too am refreshing constantly!
ReplyDeletePraying that all is well and that you are basking in the glow of good things, and a lifetime as parents!
ReplyDelete? I am not baiting anyone. I am a friend of the family who was asked to stay anonymous. I actually saw little Jackson this morning. He is beautiful! That said, i wont update anymore since "some people" are going to be snotty about it.
ReplyDeleteMo, we are going nuts over here! I hope everything is okay.
ReplyDeleteAnd if it is a boy, well, I just have to laugh because that's just one more thing you couldn't control or predict. Life with IF is like that. If he's healthy, and HERE, that's the main focus, even if he sleeps on pink sheets for a few weeks :)
Please let us know, cannot take it anymore, pray everybody is fine and healthy!
ReplyDeletei'm going to assume it's either a: a joke she played on everyone, or b: false. mo had like 400 ultrasounds, amnio, the whole thing. the likelihood that it was another sex by accident is about.05%
ReplyDeleteSorry, didn't mean to come across as snotty. It just seemed a bit incredulous. But if you are as you say you are, a friend who was asked to update anonymously, then thank you for the update and please convey to Mo & Will congratulations and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteHa I should have refreshed before I posted that comment. Mo updated! All IS well. Hooray!
ReplyDelete
