I finally heard from both the Denver clinic and the NYC clinic. They both called at basically the exact same time.
Beta HCG = 22.3
Nurse was happy with this number, given that beta isn't due until Sunday. The Denver clinic wants you at 50 on beta day, so hopefully we'll be close if not there by then.
Estrogen was good at 1217.
Progesterone came in at 10.1, which is low. The Denver clinic's current protocol is endometrin suppositories 3x/day plus 1 cc of PIO every other day. Due to this low number, I now get to graduate to daily PIO plus the suppositories. This embryo will not lack for progesterone.
In terms of symptoms today, I didn't have the uterine "pulling" that I've been looking for, but I did have a very specific kind of cramping that I've only had when pregnant that's different than menstrual cramping. So that was reassuring and hope-inducing.
So I am tentatively hopeful. I would have MUCH preferred a higher number than 22.3, but that's in the ballpark of where we need to be at this stage of the game, so I'll take it.
Just hoping, hoping, hoping this blastocyst can strongly take hold and keep growing (I'm assuming it's only 1, based on the low number).
Universe, are you listening? I know I'm being greedy, but please?

Yay!!!! I have checked this about 10 times in the last hour! Take care of yourself and let that embie snuggle in there! Lots of cuddles with Magpie should help get the endorphins flowing. So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteWooooohoooooooo!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
ReplyDeleteGreat news Mo! So far so good and I hope everything goes well and baby #2 joins the family in the spring!
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Often the number more than doubles so it could be higher than 50 come Sunday!
ReplyDeleteExcited for you!!!!
Mo, you are NOT being greedy! You have just as much right to deeply desire this baby as fertiles who would never be questioning their right to another child.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good start. I am hoping with all I have that it continues this way.
So happy for you guys!! Enjoy your long weekend
ReplyDeleteHooray! I think that number is fine, too, given that 7dp5dt = 12dpo, which means if this were a spontaneous, non-medically-assisted conception, you likely wouldn't even have missed a period yet.
ReplyDeletePIO injections suck, so I'm sorry about that. . . but it's better to know and treat it than to not know, right?
Thinking loads of good thoughts for you!
Oh very nice start! I hope to be stalking this page for the next, um, nine months or so for updates! So very happy this is off to such a great start. Keep up the good work little one!
ReplyDeleteSuch good news!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Here's to a great repeat beta and about eight more months...
ReplyDeleteYay!!!
ReplyDeleteYes! I am so hopeful.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so happy you have this information before the long weekend, not to mention how thrilled I am to read that you are in fact currently pregnant (and I also saw a line, when I looked with my rods but not my cones, which is great since it's all about contrast instead of colour).
ReplyDeleteHold on, dear woman. Hold on, sweet blastocyst, and grow into a healthy fetus, and baby.
I am crossing everything I've got for you!!!
ReplyDeleteYah, wonderful news! Sending lots of positive energy for continued health growth and development. Good to have caught the progesterone level, too.
ReplyDeleteYea!!! I'm so happy it was a good HCG number. I know you'd prefer it to be higher, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. My progesterone was low in both of my successful pregnancies. With the 2nd one, CCRM wound up having to up me all the way to PIO 2x per day (in addition to the supps). Even then, my P4 levels weren't super high. They were fine, but not out of the ballpark. So if they do have to up your PIO even more, please know that it can all still work out successfully. I'll be hoping for great news again on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteIt's not greedy to want a second child! Snuggle in tight, little embryo(s). Good luck!
ReplyDeleteUndeniably promising! Fingers crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteYay! :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh!!! So excited, crossing all of my crossables for you guys! Yay for lines and positive numbers : ) Stick little embie, you are so hoped and prayed for.
ReplyDeleteYippee!!! Go mo! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteGreat news. Sending you sticky vibes!
ReplyDeleteHooray!!
ReplyDeleteright where you want to be...
ReplyDeleteone day at a time, mo!
Yay! It is still so early for a higher beta. That is the perfect number. Keep praying. Hugs and prayers!
ReplyDeleteOh, good luck. Fingers (and everything) crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteI think that number sounds good for where you are at! Fingers crossed this little emby hangs on tight!!
ReplyDeleteRooting for you guys!
