My how she's grown!

Our puppy Moxie has grown amazingly in the two months since we've gotten her.

First, here is a picture of her sleeping in her bedding when we first got her at eight weeks, snuggling with her little lamb.

Just for comparison purposes, the other day, we had her lay down in this same bed again with her lamb, and look - she's gargantuan!

But still our little cutie.

We are so in love.

  1. OMG...those pictures are priceless. Bo is over 40 pounds now. I never thought I would love an animal as much as I love Bo!

  4. What an adorable puppy! She HAS grown so much, and in just two months, my goodness! I am so happy that you brought her into your life and have such a wonderful dog to love!

  5. Mo- I'm a new follower and normally don't comment but I LOVE moxie!!! We too have a boxer, and they are absolutely the best dogs ever. We love ours to pieces and she has made this process so much better :)

  6. Oh my gosh, she's adorable! I've always had boxers growing up and I will never ever have anything but. My Caesar just turned 5 and weighs a good 75-80 lbs! He's such a ham, thinks he's a lap dog. I love it though. He's the best cuddler in the world and has help me tremendously since my diagnosis.

  7. So precious! She is probably wondering why her bed keeps shrinking....

  8. She's gorgeous!!! The lamb really puts her growth spurt into perspective. Our pooch Sierra was so awkward in her teenage "in between" phase when she was transitioning from puppy to grown-up dog--but I must say, Moxie doesn't look awkward or transitional in the least!

  9. I had a boxer cross while I was growing up. Now she is aging gracefully at my parents' place. Moxie sure is a cutie.

  11. Look at the little moose! How much does she weigh now? My pups went from eight pounds to seventy-five in their puppy years. So much change! I love it. Thanks for sharing.

  16. REALLY cute! and I love the lamb!

BTW - my sweet dog Shelly (she will be 14 this spring) has been eating her own poo :( - so much that we have to muzzle her to let her out to do her business - the vet has checked her out - she is fine and they told us that wolves eat their poo in the wild...I was like - um, yeah, she has been a spoiled city dog since 8 weeks old, I think that poo eating wolves are far from what is going on - I just think she is getting old and that crushes my heart.

  17. SOOOO SO cute!

We have a GSP that we got at 7 weeks, and he grew to be 80 pounds like overnight! He's 2 now and currently he's curled up on the ottoman sucking on a blanket, like it's his mama or something! Cute and kinda distrubing...

  20. I think she is possibly the cutest dog in all of Manhattan. I just called the Boy over to admire those photos, which are possibly the funniest photos I've ever seen. Perfect before & afters!

    See you on Wednesday!

  23. WOW- she grew so fast. She's beautiful, and I'm surprised the lamb hasn't been shredded in playful puppy abandon.

  24. Our kitten is now nearly full grown, but I can still see her 'kitten' self in there, and I'm similarly smitten!

  26. She is very cute! I've seen you mention jogging with her, did you discuss that with your vet at all? Too much of that with puppies is thought to cause joint problems....just checking because she's adorable and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her!

  27. Thanks for checking in about this. It's a totally valid point. We've only done the jogging thing twice. And you have to bear in mind that when I'm "running," Moxie is walking beside me. She's walking quickly, but she's walking. Because, yes, I'm that out of shape (at this point, I could still walk at the pace that I "run," if that makes any sense. So the vet said it's ok. If I start getting fast (ha!), then not ok. Will runs six miles at a faster pace both weekend days and she will not get to experience any of that until she's at least a year and a half old.

  28. Good to hear! I think that is just something that doesn't even occur to people - I know I had no idea that you shouldn't run with puppies...I thought running was just something that puppies did a lot of anyway so why not do it in a more organized way lol. Then an avid jogger friend mentioned that she didn't bring her dog on her runs for a couple of years and I was shocked...I see you guys are on top of things and it sounds like you are really enjoying her!
